Now that I've gone through a few of my routine items...let's talk about baseball for just a minute.
This series doesn't involve the perennial powerhouse teams. What it DOES involve is an array of little known players who will be on display for this best-of-seven series. Ryan Howard, Jimmy Rollins, Chase Utley, Shane Victorino, Pat Burrell, Jayson Werth, Cole Hamels, Ryan Madson, Brad Lidge...on the Phillies side. BJ Upton, Evan Longoria, Carlos Pena, Matt Garza, Carl Crawford, Scott Kazmir, and more for the Rays. Talent...a disgustingly great amount of proven talent.
We could be getting a good look at the youth movement in Major League Baseball.
Tune in! And tell me what YOU think!
