How acquired: Signed as a free agent

This year: Durbin might have been the most consistent reliever down the stretch of the regular season as the veteran allowed just three runs over his final ten appearances. Durbin finished the year with a 4.39 ERA in 59 games with a 2-2 record and a pair of saves. Durbin warmed up on Thursday but did not appear in the game. With Game 3 almost taking on the look of a bullpen start, Durbin looks to be called upon in the cold Denver air tonight.

Career: Durbin is 32-43 with a 5.19 ERA over 244 games. He found a role last season in the bullpen before he wore down due to excessive use.

Side work: Durbin is the co-founder of ShowcaseU.com, which is a site dedicated to student-athletes and their pursuit to get noticed by college coaches and pro scouts. Durbin has talked at great length over the past two seasons about this project but admits he gets more done in the offseason. "Obviously, I'm a little more focused on my day job right now. The benefit of this is maybe, someone checks the site and if even one more kid gets noticed it's all worth it. I haven't paid much attention. It does help out with a little recognition but it's more about the kids. But yeah, it's going well."

The day job: "Yeah, right now I have a lot of confidence in the way I'm throwing. It's how I feel right now, today or tomorrow. I feel a lot more in control. Other than that I'm not thinking about it. We have to stay focused from a team perspective. Everybody knows what this is about. Most of us have been through this so you just go one game at a time."
